About UW EcoCAR

UW students have been a part of an Advanced Vehicle Technology Competition (AVTC) since 2011 with the launch of EcoCAR 2. Currently, we are one of only 11 schools across North America competing in the EcoCAR Mobility Challenge and the only team on the West Coast.

Our 70 student members come from a broad spectrum of engineering and STEM disciplines as well as liberal arts fields such as communication, business, design, and even creative writing.

Our team members leave the University of Washington with the connections and skills necessary for them to get jobs at companies like General Motors, Argonne National 

Laboratory, Tesla, Daimler, PACCAR, Boeing, and many others.
